An editorial series shot in the last hour of light, when a room turns to amber and people stop performing.
The Story
Overview & approach
AFTERLIGHT began as a single evening in a borrowed apartment. We set out to photograph the minutes after the day has ended, when faces soften and the light does most of the directing.
We worked with one practical lamp, no fill, and long pauses between frames. The series was graded warm and left slightly underexposed so the shadows keep their weight.
